Just Joy

This morning, I awoke to yet another beautiful day. The sun was shining, & even though it wasn't barely even 50 degrees outside, everything seemed warm & bright. As I gazed out the front window at the lake, I could see several squirrels scampering atop the colorful leaves that have fallen. They were no doubt as busy as they could be gathering nuts for the winter, which will soon be approaching.

Life is good for me, & I have every reason to be rejoicing. Yesterday, I celebrated my 30th year as a breast CA survivor. It now seems like an eternity since I had to face the fact that as a bride of just six months I would be loosing my breast to cancer. The year of chemotherapy that followed seemed to last forever, but fortunately, it saved my life.

Not a day goes by that I don't count my blessings. God is good. His mercy is amazing.
