Joy through mindfulness
As a young married woman with 4 children, I did not have a lot of time to do things for others. it was devoted to the children. As they grew I learned to sew for them. I then learned to knit and crochet. All too soon the children grew up and left. I also went through a divorce. Later my second husband and I retired to Susquehanna Cty. We live very close to N.Y. We joined a church in Apalachin, N.Y. I joined the yarn ministry group and now my joy is using my talent of knitting and crocheting for a community. We have a prayer shawl ministry and knit and crochet for preemies, cancer patients, and abused children. I also used my sewing talent to learn quilting. My great joy is to see my children and grandchildren open up a quilt to be used any way they want. I learned a long time ago that my biggest joy to doing for others. My church is my lifeline to the world. I don't travel much because there is so much to do here in my little corner of Pa. Kathy, your mother helped me with knitting years ago at American Olean Tile. She was an inspiration to me. Please tell her Hello! Keep doing what you like best, because you are a big inspiration to alot of people. I am the Mother-IN -Law to Katie Atkinson. Best of everything, Grace Adamson
