Joy through mindfulness

I was walking in NYC one day in Times Square when I saw that the fire station garage doors were open. I walked over to a fireman and asked to have my picture with him...a REAL NYC FIREMAN!!! To this day, I still do not know who I stood with. I do not know if he was a 9/11 hero. But to me any fireman is considered a hero to me. I really still wonder and want to know who that man is that, i stood with there, before Christmas, at the end of 2006. Thank you to all the firemen who risk their lives every day to save somebody else. Please if anybody knows who that man in the picture with me is, let me know. I would actually love to meet him again someday, because he opened his heart to me through a simple act of kindness.
