What is the Kathy Davis Scatter Joy Mission?

"Scatter joy defines my mission, my art and the essence of my brand. As I like to think of it, there are three aspects to my scatter joy mission: Joy through Art, Joy through Living, and Joy through Giving. My hope is that you will be able to identify with me and my scatter joy mission to find joy through art, living and giving."

It can be an emotional expression, a mindful expression or a physical expression. Whether through making art, or simply enjoying art and the everyday design that permeates our lives, our awareness is heightened, our experiences are fuller and our lives are richer. My hope is to touch others with my art and to inspire the artist within each one of us."

It is so important that we take precious time for ourselves and those we love, and make our surroundings and the things we use pleasing and beautiful. Our experiences, when sensual, add quality to our lives. Through my words, my images and my design, I hope to inspire others to create a life they love." 

Joy through giving: It is in giving that we receive. — St. Francis of Assisi

"Nothing fulfills us and makes our lives richer than sharing with others, and there is so much need in this world of ours for more kindness, better communication, empathy and understanding. Showing others we care by giving of ourselves, our time, our talents and our abundance can make all the difference. Giving back – to the earth, to our community, to those in need, and to our loved ones – enriches not only the recipient but ourselves.

Whether it's as simple as sending a greeting card or as critical as contributing to a worthy cause, it is my desire to inspire others to not only feel the joy of life, but to scatter it and share it with those around them. Like scattering seeds in a garden, simple kindnesses can bloom, grow and multiply in the most miraculous ways."
